TRILOGY OF TERROR VHS TAPE:

This tape was only $0.50 I couldn't belive my eyes when I saw it for sale. Maybe its for sale online I donKt know, but I saw thiss series around 1979? And wanted it ever since. I was ELATED to find it. It was on the same old rack I check every time I stop into that thrift store and this time it was added, even tho the selection rarely ever changes. I was so glad to find I I got a rush.

HEATED TRAY small, 1970s. Keeps food and beverages HOT. No on/off switch. Just plug/unplug. Ill keep my teapot on it. 2$. So awesome.

This is about as long as a computer keyboard and twice as wide. My grandmother had a much larger one she would set out on a buffet to keep the
Hors d'oeuvres warm.  Like hers, this one to the right -->  It gets HOT. it says "hot electric tray" not "warm electric tray". its the truth. You could'nt cook on it but it will keep your food HOT not luke warm. I wonder if regulations have changed because it seems like food warmers don't do a good job anymore. I bought an electric cup warmer once. To replace an OLD one. And the new one kept the tea from being "not cold". Not warm, not hot and "not cold". It was wasn't effective. So i returned it and bought a different brand. Same problem. "luke warm tea". not worm but Luke. use the force. to warm up. the tea. so ya. This electric tray will keep my teapot HOT. I have a metal teapot that can't go in the microwave.

1960s PYREX TERRA PATTERN 13oz. HANDLELESS COFFEE MUG:

i paid .25 cents for it. they go for $10 dollars on ebay.
find out more about terra pattern pyrex here!

I like this cup a lot but I'm wondering if the paint job has lead. It is a paint job not enamel. its from the 60s. So that could be an issue. Ive
tried to research but have come to no conclusion.
The paint is on the outside not the inside so it should be OK. If anyone knows the answer tto the lead question please leave a comment.

hi i wanted to put ads on my blog so i could get some money to buy more stuff but adserve banned me because i looked at my own blog [during editing] and they said i was manipulating the stats. what ever! so im banned from adserve for life with any future accounts. so you don't got to see no poopy ads on my blog, ever! thats good.

REPLACEMENT SKELETON KEY:  here is the key that came in the mail. i bought it on ebay. for the trunk.  the key works. it was 7$ after postage. i bought it on the "make offer" setting. not auction, not buy it now. i had never tried "make offer" before and it was 10$ and i offered 4.50$ and was accepted. 2-ish$ more for postage. the key came in only 3 days. now the trunk needs a new lining. i bought some black vinyl at the thrift store for 1$ that i might use. i also bought this east indian fabric i might glue in as a liner. for 1$. or i might just spray paint the inside black. who ever owned the trunk before me used this bright green-turquoise shelf paper from the 60s that i can't live with. and its stuck on and i cant just peal it off.

Old trunks had skeleton keys made for them.

FRIDGE MAGNETS: At the thift store i didnt want to buy anything so then i looked in baskets i dont usually look in and i found cool refridgerator magnets. a good trick that i do is i get magnets from that basket and go into housewares and put the magnets on cookware to see if its aluminum or stainless steel. if its not marked on the bottom its very hard to tell sometimes. so the magnet trick is good. but this time i liked two magnets i saw in there. they cost me .50 cents each:
Stainless Steel is magnetic. Aluminum is not.
KITCH PURSE KEY-CHAIN: in the magnet section of the thrift store i noticed they have a basket for keychains so i looked at the keychains and i found this one that was so gross i had to buy it. its a tiny purse 1 inch wide. perfect for any ho-on-the-go who needs to pack light it has enough room for chapstick, credit card, condom, and lifesavers, a $20, and advil. it really opens up and works.
worlds smallest crocodile handbag

VINTAGE KITCHEN KNIFE SHARPENER: Today i bought a vintage knife sharpener. the kind you  throw in a drawer. i packed it away already for my move. but here is an ebay picutre. of someone else's. they posted for $12. I paid 2$ for mine. mine isnt gross or rusty.
this item is cool. it takes no space in a drawer.
PYREX MILKGLASS MIXING BOWL: I also got a white milk glass pyrex mixing bowl for 2$ here is the same item from ebay. its posted there by someone else for $24.

these bowls are heavy so you don't need to hold them down as you stir.
CORBIN TRUNK REPLACEMENT KEY:  The replacement key to my cool trunk arrived today. I bought it from a seller on ebay. its the skeleton key to the trunk i bought and restored, shown earlier on my blog. The key did not fit when i first tried it but I realized i had to turn part of the lock on the other side first and mess with it a bit. Now it works. An old trunk with a working key. :)

me as Lieutenant Ilia. original 1979 Halloween costume
1979 STAR TREK MOVIE KIDS HALLOWEEN COSTUME:  I did not buy this but one thing i like to do is drink alcohol and talk peoples ear off about star trek the original motion picture part 1. i tell them about the deltan who gets borgified, by vygr..,., and one of my friends got me the 1979 Halloween costume  of Lieutenant Ilia, THE FIRST BORG???

BREAKING NEWS: THE MYSTERIOUS HORSE PRINT HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED!

The giant horse print has been identified as:

Study for the Horsemarket, 1900,

  by  Rosa Bonheur

Thanks to bil M. who let me know the title of this print!
“The Horse Fair,” is displayed in New York’s Metropolitan Museum.
allposters.com sells the unframed print in a smaller size for 49.99
then its an additional $104.99 for them to frame it,
an additional $60 if you want it mounted on wood.
I got all of that plus a super giant size for only $30! The staff-lady who I bought this from said she did not think it was a Giclee (high quality inkjet print). I can't tell if it is a lithograph or a Giclee.
ebay has it up for $400.00 by someone else. here.

I have been semi hoarderish lately and I had a dream last night that i was on that show hoarders: buried alive, and dr. zazio came to rationalize with me about my overbuying and my clutter-blindness. To be honest i was a little worried about this purchase because it was THIRTY dollars. My limit is around $12. I feel so much relief that i did not Ef_up on this one.
